In Brief: A retired army officer, he seeks a quiet life. Having seen many successful campaigns, he is moderately wealthy and avoids violence, though he is capable of defending himself if attacked. In the course of his career he has gained immunity from supernatural creatures and most forms of hostile magic, though he has no special powers of his own.
Appearance: He is powerfully built, but not a giant or bodybuilder type. Fur is striped in shades of grey, just like a tabby cat. Eyes are deep blue. There are some scars on his legs, arm and chest. His dark blond, almost brown hair is short, a crewcut being the legacy of his military days. He wears simple but well-made clothes in dark colours. His feet are bare or have heavy boots on. Not given to decoration, he has no jewelry, tattoos or piercings. His voice is a clear, deep baritone, cultured though retaining a legacy of the middle classes, with a slight regional accent.
History: Digan joined the army as a young and naive candidate officer for the sake of free education and adventure, but ended up learning a lot about needless death and destruction. He turned out to be very good at that, and even enjoyed it at times when his instincts kicked in -- but began to feel increasingly sad and even guilty at the aftermath of his successes. He worked from necessity, but when the crisis ended, he retired. He has seen enough violence to be neither shocked nor attracted by it, and now seeks only his own amusement and enlightenment.
Weapons: Digan almost always carries a short-range weapon and a knife. When travelling, he also carries a long-range weapon. The type of weapon depends on the historical period of the play: for example, in a medieval setting he would carry a sword and dagger, and a bow if travelling; in a modern setting he would have a reliable, heavy-caliber pistol and a combat knife, plus a rifle when on the move.
